After about 15 years of work, and many years of help from most of the staff on the Beatles records, we've finally finished our book on "The making of...".

 As you know, Mark Lewisohn's excellent books covered the "when" of the Beatles records, this will tell about all the bits that have never been explored about "who, what, and how", a detailed behind-the-scenes look into the studio for their classic recordings.

The book tells about Abbey Road and the different studio locations they used  in detail (with photos), the studio recording equipment used explained in fanatical detail, stories about and by the studio staff, and the exact procedures and techniques used to make each record. There are also some nice secrets about their workings are revealed for the first time, things no one even suspects about these records. At the same time, many popular myths about the recordings are debunked and explained, to restore reality of what happened.

 The book contains quite a few photos of the Beatles in the studio, many never before seen. Almost all of the information in the book is new, not a rewrite of someone else's work. We've had the support of Mark Lewisohn, the former Abbey Road staff, and Beatles experts all over the world, working very hard to make this one of the most detailed, accurate, and truthful books on the band.  It's a LARGE book, well over 500 pages, hardcover, colour, and the first 1,000 are a special numbered boxed edition, including nice small bonus trinkets. We are publishing this ourselves, as 'normal' publishers wanted to do a much smaller book with few photographs. Instead, we have taken it upon ourselves to produce the highest quality book possible, with more photos, larger in size and length, in excellent printing quality.
